Oyster Ridge is located in the Paso Robles wine country, approximately halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco in northern San Luis Obispo County on California’s Central Coast.

Notable Nearby Cities & Places:

 

San Luis Obispo—once declared “The Happiest City in America” on Oprah—is one of California’s original Mission-era landmarks and is the home of California Polytechnic State University. San Luis Obispo is known for its charming downtown, abundant shopping and dining, and lively nightlife. Downtown San Luis Obispo is 10 miles south of Oyster Ridge.

Paso Robles—named “Best Wine Country Town” by Sunset Magazine in 2016—is a small town loaded with wine country character. It is known for its central downtown park, fine dining, winery tasting rooms and welcoming hospitality. Downtown Paso Robles is 20 miles north of Oyster Ridge.

Avila Beach and Pismo Beach are contiguous beachfront towns that set the pace for San Luis Obispo County’s coastal identity, offering stunning beauty, fresh seafood, wide-open beaches and more.

 

The opulent and historic Hearst Castle crowns the northern coastline of San Luis Obispo County, which also features popular beach towns including Cambria, Cayucos and Morro Bay.

Transportation & Access

San Luis Obispo County Regional airport offers direct and connecting flights with major airports in California, Phoenix and, starting in spring of 2017, Seattle via United Express, U.S. Airways and Alaska Airlines. Nearby Santa Maria Airport offers direct and connecting flights to Las Vegas.

Amtrak has train and bus stations in both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. For traveling within San Luis Obispo County, rental cars are available at the airport and elsewhere. The region is also served by several private tour companies, and Uber recently launched its WINE program in San Luis Obispo, with Uber drivers staying with you as you tour the wine country.

Oyster Ridge and San Luis Obispo County are easily reached by major California highways, including Highway 101 and Coast Highway 1 (which both pass through the city of San Luis Obispo) as well asHighway 46 from the Central Valley. Approximate driving times and distances to Santa Margarita, home of Oyster Ridge, are as follows:

San Francisco - 220 miles / 3.5 hours

San Jose - 175 miles / 2.5 hours
